Economics Student Council
– 다원 (Every Want, Every One)
- The student council of the Chung-ang University School of Economics is divided into five departments which are president, vice-president, fundamental business department, student welfare department, accounting department, education department and finally public ambassador department. Student council is responsible for planning and running the school events that any students enrolled in economics can enjoy.
Fundamental business department is in charge of snack business, economic pharmacy and managing equipments business which will relieve the inconvenience students will face, and also cheer students up at the same time.
Students welfare department was established for the welfare of students and is responsible for computer and composite management, in charge of matching varsity jacket for economics and also run A4 paper business.
For transparent accounting, the Office of Accounting prepares student association fee calculation, executes student council fees, manages receipts, and manages seminar room of economics department.
Accounting department works hard to make accounting as transparent as possible by making statement of accounts for every semester, in charge of student fees and receipts and also manage the seminar room of economics department,
Education department tries to push up the students’ education quantity higher by running the ‘Mentors(멘토쓰)’(giving informtion of major, exchange students), and doing mentor business between the senior and junior students and lastly giving information about economics department to students.
Our finally department, public ambassador department creates every poster for every events and business we are running, and also in charge of Kakaotok plus friends and Facebook page for the economic department.
The president and the vice-president are in charge of the 5 department and also in charge of all the business and event student council are hosting. Economics Society – S-Kian
- Established in 1968, S-Kian is the oldest association in the department of economics, aiming to learn and fulfill the academic thoughts of the two prominent scholars, Adam Smith and John. M. Keynes. As of now, many graduates are encouraging undergraduate students by awarding scholarships every semester. Each semester, eight regular seminars are held to share ideas based on economics, and collaboration seminars are also held with other departments. Besides these seminars, S-Kian sets up a variety of activities students can participate in and provides opportunities to interact with students of all grades.

Economics Society – EPSDA
(Economic Problems Study
& Discussion Association)
- EPSDA is the best economic association in the department of economics in CAU that has a history of 37 years in 2018 since 1981. Every week, seniors and juniors have a time of analyzing and discussing the economic problems. Based on this valuable time, EPSDA has a great result in the Economic Forum. In addition, alumni and students keeps a continuous communication through the events like EPSDA summer membership training and the night of EPSDA. Also, EPSDA produced a lot of talented people that exercises strong influences in the society. In the night of EPSDA that is held once a year, EPSDA motivates students to participate in school and association activities by awarding scholarship to students who contributed a lot in association activities.

Economics Society – Ephilomics
- In Ephilomics, with an objective of becoming an advanced acadamic association, we engage in various activities. First, through weekly seminars we work to share knowledge. From selecting the topic to composing the presentation, seniors and juniors work together to enhance the quality of the seminar. Not only do we analyze and explain a highly contested economic issue, but we also work on possible solutions and forseeing possible outcomes with a mind of sharing various information. Also through interacting with graduates, we plan our careers and feal a sense of belonging. During the first half of the year we invite graduates to learn the basic knowledge and future aspects of their occupation. At the latter half, we hold “The night of Ephilomics” to develop a sense of belonging as members of Ephilomics.
It is the 28th anniversary of Ephilomics. We pursue growth through various experiences and always bear the quote ” It is beautiful to be enlightened” in our mind.

(CAU Investment & Research Association)
- CAU Investment & Research Association(CIRA) is a stock investment club in the School of Economics, recruiting students who have keen interest in stocks and finance. Seminars are held weekly in which students issue reports of corporate analysis and investment results. CIRA offers training session for new members who are unaware of stocks, encouraging them to participate in the club activity. We emphasize that our club is open to any students in the School of Economics with interest and passion for investment.

Economics Club – CRACKERS
- Hi everyone, we are CRACKERS, basketball club, in CAU economics.
We are traditional strong player that experienced second place in CAU tournament recently in 2012, 2015, 2018.
We are practicing at every Tuesday.
We exercise for ‘CAU president basketball tournament’ in the first semester and ‘CAU basketball league’ in the second semester.
