Notice on Smart Glasses and Electronic Devices During Examinations

With the increasing availability of smart glasses equipped with cameras, wireless communication, artificial intelligence (AI), audio input/output, or display functions, such devices may potentially be used for unauthorized assistance during examinations. Some smart glasses are also difficult to distinguish from ordinary eyeglasses.

Accordingly, the following rules apply to all examinations administered by the School of Economics. Please read the following carefully.

1. Wearing or possessing smart glasses during an examination is prohibited.
Smart glasses equipped with electronic functions, including cameras, wireless communication, AI, recording/playback, or displays, may not be worn or kept in a student's possession during an examination.

2. Possession of smart glasses during an examination may itself be treated as academic misconduct, regardless of whether the device was actually used.
Turning the device off or claiming that its electronic functions were not used does not make possession permissible.

3. The same rule applies to other unauthorized electronic devices, including smartwatches and wireless earphones.
Before the examination begins, such devices must be turned off and stored in a bag or another location designated by the instructor.

4. Ordinary eyeglasses and prescription glasses without electronic functions are not subject to this restriction.

These measures are intended to ensure fairness and academic integrity in all examinations. Thank you for your cooperation.
