Jiyoung Hwang

Jiyoung Hwang, a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) in the Department of Economics at Chung-Ang University, has been selected for the 2026 National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) Doctoral Research Fellowship in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Doctoral Research Fellowship in the Humanities and Social Sciences is designed to support doctoral researchers in developing their academic and research capabilities while fostering the next generation of leading scholars. Selected recipients receive funding for their dissertation research and conduct independent research as principal investigators over a two-year period.

Hwang’s research explores how the administrative mechanism of “Age-Based Eligibility Rules” affects the developmental trajectories and educational opportunities of children with disabilities.
