Jaebin Cho, a doctoral student in the Department of Economics at our university, has been selected as a recipient of the 7th ILERA 2018 Seoul World Congress Commemorative Scholarship.

To commemorate the successful hosting of the ILERA 2018 Seoul World Congress, the Korean Association of Employment and Labor Relations, the Korean Association of Labor Law, and the Korean Association of Labor Economics have jointly awarded this scholarship annually since 2019, with this year marking its seventh presentation. The scholarship is granted through a rigorous selection process to outstanding graduate students, both domestic and international, who demonstrate academic achievement and research potential in labor-related fields such as industrial relations, labor law, and labor economics.

This year, three scholars were selected, and Cho received the scholarship in the field of labor economics.

Cho is conducting research on “Reform Measures for Employment Promotion Subsidies and Levies for Persons with Disabilities,” exploring the effectiveness of disability employment policies and directions for improvement. The findings of this research are scheduled to be presented at the 2026 Summer Conference of the Korean Association of Employment and Labor Relations.

Meanwhile, Cho attended the award ceremony hosted by the Korean Association of Employment and Labor Relations, held on the 25th at the Moot Court of Sungkyunkwan University, where he received a plaque, certificate, and scholarship award.
